    Kayla is a Registered Social Worker who provides therapy to adults 18 years and older.

    Kayla holds a Master of Social Work degree from Carleton University and is a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers (OCSWSSW). She has ten years of social work experiences in clinical positions in a variety of settings before joining OCFR, including child welfare, school board, hospital, and private practice.

    Kayla has experience in supporting individuals through grief and loss, trauma, anxiety, depression, chronic / terminal illness, caregiving, life transitions, and interpersonal conflict. Kayla has experience working with people with life limiting illness which has taught her that people can adapt and find hope in the most difficult of times. Kayla’s approach is collaborative; she believes a positive and trusting client-therapist relationship is at the root of healing. She has particular interest in working with complicated grief, medical trauma, and caregivers.
